Hi Everyone,
The shorter days are really becoming noticeable now and certainly on cloudy days when around 3pm it feels like the day is coming to a close. The golf course is holding up well, and I am amazed how good the pace on the greens is.
I know our hard working Greenkeepers make this happen. In fact, when called upon to perform on them, all of them did really well in last week's Staff vs Committee match where we triumphed 3.5-2.5.
I appreciate there was a note on this in last week's Mid Herts Golfer, however in my experience when you win something it is always good to gloat (in 40 plus years of following Watford FC, sadly this opportunity has failed to materialise very often)!
On the shop side, many thanks to all of you who are supporting our FREE Personalisation offer on Titleist balls. These will be a super stocking filler or perfect if you just need some more ammunition for the course and wanted your name on them or a message of intent, which for example one of my students positively puts on his Titleist balls: 'Birdie Machine'. You can order your personalised Titleist balls on our website where they will be delivered here to store - simply click here.
Our other initiative which is proving popular is 'Click and Collect' that we do with our friends at Foremost Golf. This gives you access to a whole host of stock at great prices, which you can get sent to us at the Pro Shop for collection. You can collect at your convenience and saves you any hassle of having to wait in and experiencing the inevitable delivery saga Royal Mail revel in.
Any thoughts or advice you need on this facility don't hesitate to contact us, as I really think this is a great addition to what we can offer you. Please read the article below on our Click and Collect service which highlights the real benefits to you.
The European Tour is finishing its season with the final event in Dubai, which is a good event to watch. With this in mind, I thought you may all enjoy this little YouTube clip of Rory, Justin and Henrik (they are so famous now we don't need to use their surnames) having some fun re-creating some shots from their previous performances there.
Good luck to all of you with your golfing endeavours this week and enjoy the articles.
